Midshipman First Class Nora Stolley received the Madison Navy League
Superior Academic & Leadership Award on Saturday, April 24, 2021, during the UW-Madison Naval ROTC annual spring awards ceremony.
MIDN Stolley will graduate with a major in biochemistry and receive her commission on May 8. She will report for her first tour as a Surface Warfare Officer
aboard the USS New Orleans (LPD-18) homeported in Sasebo, Japan.

Madison Navy League Member Herb Thomas presented Richland County Bank President Corey Davis with a plaque of appreciation to recognize the bank for its many years of support for our STEM youth programs and the annual SeaPerch regional challenge.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the 2021 South Central Wisconsin SeaPerch Regional Competition a huge success on Friday, March 12.
Special thanks to Hope Mikkelson, Madison Navy League's VP-STEM & Youth Programs and Verona Area High School science teacher, and her Verona and Oregon Science Club members for hosting and organizing the day at the beautiful Verona Aquatic Center.
Thirteen teams from Kickapoo (Viola), Hillsboro, Verona, Oregon and Sun Prairie schools participated in the event. The energy from the students was very high as they shared what they learned from this educational, practical and fun experience.
